general personality :: Kami is a perky little thing, happy nearly all of the time. She was often happy as a child, but the "accident" and water damaged part of her brain, so she can barely feel sadness. She feels lonely sometimes, though, and she can feel hurt, just not true sadness. She believes herself to still be a princess, though her kingdom no longer exists. Idolizes her murdrous sister. Loves animals, but particulary the "unloved" ones of the world

hometown :: a small, unmarked country between Sweden and Finland, called Aluni. It resides in a deep valley, almost like a meteor crater. Multiple small streams run in to form a small lake, with a fast river at the top (it had been dammed to stop flooding). Speaks both English and Finnish. She was born in the capital, Meanil. None of this country exists anymore. It is all buried under a massive amount of water
history ::
- The kingdom Kami was born into was rather odd, for the youngest inherited the kingdom.
- Ji, Kami's sister, has been trained to be the next queen for 15 years
- Kami is born, and Ji is shoved aside and forgotten. No one really liked her anyways.
- Ji becomes bitter, silently plotting the destruction of her family.
- Kami wins the hearts of nearly everyone with her optimistic attitude, smile, and simple innocence.
- Ji continues to stew, trying to figure out the perfect time to kill them all. Her mind degenerates, and she fills a journal of her thoughts. You can see her insanity building through it.
- Kami is officially chosen to be heiress on her seventh birthday.
- Ji finally snaps, because this is the day after her own birthday, and no one remembered it. Also, her mother has been pressuring her to be "more like Kami." She hikes the steep sides and finishes undoing the dam.
- water rushes in, quickly filling the valley (roughly half the size of Washington state) because of snowmelts and surprisingly rainy spring.
- No one can escape because it is a three hour hard hike up the sides to reach the top.
- Ji thinks she is triumphant (though of course not crazy) until she hears labored breathing behind her
- Kami somehow survived, though her lungs and brain are damaged for life
- the damage gave her the ability to speak to the dead, and Kami can't remember anything about that day except that she can't go back
- She wanders Europe, picking up her gothic style. However, she discovers that people tend to shy away from her when she talks animatedly to her (dead) family, so she looks for somewhere else to go.
- Solved the murder of a girl she met, though Kami didn't understand the girl was dead
- Eventually made it here.
